What Can I Do?

Reduce

  1. Purchase products that are packaged in recycled or recyclable material
  2. Purchase products with minimal packaging materials
  3. Use a mulching mower blade
  4. Avoid purchasing disposable items such as razors and food containers when reusable options are available
  5. Purchase long-lasting appliances and keep them well-maintained

Reuse

  1. Purchase reusable canvas shopping bags for groceries
  2. Reuse the back of used paper for scratch paper
  3. Use rechargeable batteries
  4. Use newspaper as packing material

Recycle

  1. Recycle your home refuse
  2. Recycle packing materials such as Styrofoam peanuts at shipping centers in Norman
  3. Start a recycling program at work
  4. Teach your children to recycle
