The City of Norman Annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

The 2008 HHW event will be held at Lloyd Noble and will collect the following material at no charge to Norman residents:

  • Computers, cell phones, personal digital assistants, audio/stereo, DVD/VCR, video cameras, telephones, fax/copy machines, TVs and video games and other electronic devices
  • Oil, Oil Filters, Brake Fluid
  • Latex & Oil Based Paint
  • Paint Thinners & Turpentine
  • Wood Preservatives
  • Kerosene, Gasoline, & Flammable Solvents
  • Drain & Oven Cleaners
  • Pool Chemicals
  • Medicine
  • Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs (a.k.a. CFLs )
  • Anything containing mercury
  • Craft & Hobby Supplies
  • Antifreeze
  • Car Batteries & NiCd Batteries
  • Car Tires - (without rims)
  • Household Cleaners
  • Pesticides-Herbicides-Fertilizers
  • Metal Appliances
  • Floor & Furniture Polish

*Keep products in original containers and mark through personal information.

*Do not mix chemicals.

Please Volunteer!!

Come help direct traffic, collect survey info, serve refreshments, collect/bulk paint, unload tires and electronics. Shifts are 8am to 11:45am or 11:15 to 3:00pm or stay all day. Volunteer safety training meeting Friday, May 2nd at 6:30pm at City Hall Council Chambers includes pizza, drinks and t-shirts. Donuts, bagels and drinks provided Saturday morning, and lunch will be served to all volunteers.
