Where to Recycle

City of Norman Curbside Recycling

Beginning March 3, 2008, many households can recycle refuse in a bin set next to the trash polycart. Please see our Curbside Recycling page for details. If you live in an apartment complex or outside the recycling collection area, you can take your material to one of the Norman Recycling Centers.

City of Norman Recycling Centers

The City of Norman Recycling Centers accept aluminum, steel and tin cans, corrugated cardboard, chipboard, phone books, glass (clear, brown, green), newspaper, plastic (#1 and #2). Please sort your material into the bins carefully.

Hollywood Shopping Center - McGee and Lindsey

Hobby Lobby - 24th Ave. NW and Main St. (behind Athletic Village)

Griffin Park - A new temporary drop off recycling facility, located at Griffin Park at the corner of Robinson and 12th Ave NE, will take cardboard, newspaper, glass, plastic, aluminum and steel/tin cans

Abitibi Paper Retrievers

The Abitibi Paper Retriever® Community Recycling Program collects paper and sends funds to local schools and organizations. Nearly every public school in Norman has one, or use their Container Locator to find a location near you.

Donate Used Items

Reusing items keeps them out of the waste stream and doesn’t require reprocessing.
